A 4-year-old typically wears a Youth XS, the smallest standard youth size. That fits a chest of 26 to 28 inches and a height of about 43 to 47 inches. Smaller or petite 4-year-olds may find even Youth XS a little roomy, which is fine at this age since comfort matters more than a perfect cut. Keep It Simple for the Littlest Players

Four-year-olds are usually just starting out, often in a first clinic or a parent-and-me program rather than a real league. Do not overthink the size.
